Trucking Accidents

Trucking AccidentsThere are hundreds of thousands of trucking accidents every year on our roads and highways in the United States.  Far too many of those trucking accidents take place in the San Jose area.

In fact, there are over 500,000 commercial trucking accidents every year.  And 98 percent of truck-at-fault collisions involve serious injuries including fatalities.

I handle trucking accident cases in the San Jose area and throughout California and I have seen the devastating injuries that often result with a commercial truck or big-rig (also known as a simi or 18-wheeler) collide.

There are a number of factors that contribute to traffic accidents.
•    Machanical failure
•    Driver Fatigue
•    Driver inexperience
•    Lack of training
•    Overloaded trucks
•    Over-sized trucks
•    Brake failure/defects
•    Poor driving conditions
•    Speeding
•    Failure to yield the right of way
•    Aggressive driving behavior
•    Driving under the influence of drugs and/or alcohol

But there are three primary reasons why commercial truck (or semi) accidents are so deadly: driver fatigue, size and speed.

Many attorneys believe that trucking accidents are little more than a big car wreck.  Nothing could be farther from the truth.  Trucking accidents are more complicated, involve a myriad of different issues at every stage of litigation, and can involve the need for additional experts and specialists.

I should know, because prior to opening my own office and personal injury practice repressing injury victims as a trucking accident attorney, I was part of a trial group in a large defense firm where I defended trucking companies in catastrophic injury cases.

I intimately understand how trucking companies operate and defend against cases that are brought against them.  And if you or a loved one has been injured in a trucking accident I would like to put my knowledge to work for you.
